Kent Warm Homes Programme

The Family and Social Care Strategic Commissioning team is seeking your support on the Kent Warm Homes programme.

The scheme provides eligible households in Kent and Medway with energy saving improvements at no cost to the resident and many of those who you work with could benefit. They are looking for frontline staff who work with people receiving benefits to refer people into the programme so that the potential impact of the Warm Homes scheme is maximised and targets those most in need of Warm Homes.

The scheme is offered by the Kent and Medway Green Deal Partnership working with local authorities and housing providers. Warm Homes aims to target people most in need of measures to reduce their energy bills and keep their homes heated. As part of the Energy Company Obligation, nPower will be funding the scheme and Enterprise has been contracted to carry out retrofitting works for eligible households.

The focus of Warm Homes is on providing harder to treat measures to areas of high need. Eligibility will be assessed through a short phone call or home visit and for eligible candidates any measures provided will be 100% funded by the Energy Company Obligation.

There are a number of resources already available (e.g., leaflets and guidance notes) as well as training and so please let Elizabeth.Blockley@kent.gov.ukknow if you are able to support the scheme and she will be in touch with further information.
