An overdue review? A proposed reduction in support? Something that doesn’t feel right?
When questions arise around someone’s care and support, knowing where to turn can make all the difference. You may be concerned about a delayed assessment, changing needs or a decision that could affect someone’s wellbeing, without being sure whether there is a legal issue.
This October, KiCA members can book a free 1-to-1 session with Access Social Care to discuss Care Act reviews and assessments and explore the rights of people receiving care and support.
Your organisation will be the only organisation in the session, giving you dedicated time to talk openly about the issues you are seeing and ask questions relevant to the people you support.
You might want guidance on:
You do not need to have identified a legal problem before booking. If something does not feel right, a conversation could help you understand the relevant rights and consider possible next steps.
Simply bring an anonymised example or a general question. There is no need to prepare a formal case or gather extensive paperwork before asking for help.
The sessions focus on the legal rights of individuals receiving care and support, rather than provider contracts or wider commercial disputes.
An issue sitting on your desk? This could be a useful first step towards understanding it and deciding how to move forward.
These free sessions are available to KiCA members for October only.
