KICA'S OWN VICE CHAIR WINS OUTSTANDING AWARD

As a key influencer within the health and social care sector, both nationally and locally, his dedication to developing new inclusive holistic models of care not only focus on his own residents’ experience but also the sector as a whole.Ann Taylor, Chair of the Kent Integrated Care Association (KICA) says: “With energy and passion Adam has been a proactive member of the KICA Board since its formation and takes the lead as Vice Chair to represent member views, debating openly with key partners across the sector, and challenging decisions from commissioners. He has become a very visual KICA Director whose experience is drawn upon from both the Alliance members and our key partners regularly.“Specifically we thank Adam for being a key driver in the development of the Kent Awards. With his time and energy and passion the Kent Care Awards are now what they are today, a celebration of the excellent work of care staff in the region.”Adam Hutchison is a Trustee of the Care Worker Charity where he is an active participant in funding raising events to promote the charity and drive its focus on supporting front line care staff in times of need. Passionate about care, he has become a key influencer within the health and social care sector both nationally and locally as Kent’s representative on the Care Association Alliance, Care England and the Great British Care Awards.Sponsored by Kent County Council the event was attended by Cabinet member for Adult Social Care and Public Health, Graham Gibbens, and the newly appointed corporate director for adult social care and health, Penny Southern.The Annual Care Awards celebrate the work carried out by carers and care companies in Kent. The awards provide a chance to reward those people who have simply delivered something awesome whilst recognising the Kent care sector as a whole showing appreciation and recognising the good work everyone does day in day out, year after year.
