KENT COUNTY COUNCIL UPDATES

As part of KiCA's agenda to continue dialogue with the Local Authority over all matters we can announce 3 major areas of discussion currently running:

  1. KiCA Representatives - Dan McDowell, Tim Cheshire & Adam Hutchison will be meeting with Graham Gibbons on the 22nd October 2015 to discuss the impact of the NLW and the cost calculations we have provided as a group to KCC.
  2. KCC Director Andrew Ireland has released a letter to the sector regards NLW and the KCC update this letter is attached here. KCC Letter
  3. WEALTH DEPLETER ISSUES - Many members in the Care Home Sector have highlighted issues with KCC Around Wealth Depleters and Deferred Payees - regards sanctions on Care Contracts KiCA have produced a Letter to detail the issues around this and how we feel this is an unfair issue - Please see the letter sent to KCC by clicking here. Quality Matrix Survey

Dear Members,As KiCA continue to work on behalf of the membership with Kent County Council we have developed the below short survey to gather some information on Quality.From our last survey it was clear that the sector are unhappy with the current quality ranking system and therefore in response we have been working with them to define a better Quality measurement for nest round of contracting due to start in the coming months.Please fill in survey with as much information as you can - remember this is our opportunity to voice how we wish to measured by our Local AuthorityQuality Matrix SurveyThanks,KiCA Executive Board
