Kent prepares to recognise its unsung caring heros as Kent Integrated Care Alliance finalises arrangements for this year’s Kent Care Awards.
This year 188 nominations were received from carers and companies across the county eager to share what it is they have done to improve the standard of care this year and every year in disciplines such as Care Home Worker to Outstanding Contribution to Social Care in Kent Award.
Adam Hutchinson, Vice Chair of KICA says: “This is our chance to really celebrate the successes of the staff and companies in the care sector and celebrate a profession that helps thousands of individuals lead a dignified and fulfilling life every day.”
Sponsored by Kent County Council the event will be attended by Cabinet member for Adult Social Care and Public Health, Graham Gibbens, will be attending with the newly appointed corporate Director for Adult Social Care and Health, Penny Southern.
Winners will be announced at the Care Awards Gala Evening on Friday 14th September 2018 at the Great Danes Hotel, Maidstone starting at 6.30pm. The event will be compered by Steve Walls, a regular at the National Care Awards.
KICA is the Kent Integrated Care Alliance – and is formed as an independent body to support Local Care Providers in Kent.
