Your life, your well-being – a vision and strategy for adult social care 2016 – 2021
Thank you very much for attending the focus group on Kent County Council’s new strategy for adult social care in Autumn 2016.
The final version of ‘Your life, your well-being’, our new vision and strategy for adult social care, has now been published. You can view it here: www.kent.gov.uk/adultsstrategy, along with an executive summary, an Easy Read version and the Equality Impact Assessment.
During the consultation period on the draft strategy, we received a large number of helpful comments and suggestions from service users, carers and families, and representatives from partners and providers across the public, voluntary and community and private sectors. We are very grateful for all of the feedback we received, and have used it to produce the final version. We have set out the changes we made as a result of the consultation in a ‘You said, we did’ document that you can view at www.kent.gov.uk/adultsstrategy. A summary of the consultation report is also available there.
Our vision as set out in ‘Your life, your well-being’ is to help people to improve or maintain their well-being and to live as independently as possible. The proposals set out in the strategy will now be implemented through our Adults Transformation Programme. We look forward to working with all of our partners to make our vision for adult social care a reality.
